“It was an honor”

Speaker Koffa and US Ambassador
It was an honor to meet with Ambassador Mark Toner at my Capitol Building Office earlier today. I welcome the experienced diplomat and skilled Foriegn service veteran to Monrovia.
Ambassador Toner is coming at a very important moment in our country’s history as we consolidate our country’s post war democracy and work with all partners to reposition Liberia as a valuable ally and a vibrant trading partner.
We here at the 55th National Legislature will do our best to enact laws and provide the kind of proactive leadership and oversight that would foster even greater levels of Liberia-United States trade and investment relations leveraging our significant diaspora community based in America and our long standing friendship and kinship between the United States and Liberia.
I look forward to many more exchanges with Ambassador Toner and his team at the US embassy working in tandem with the Liberian Government to promote new avenues for shared prosperity and growth in our cherished relationship.
